Traffic Ticket – FAQ

Please Do Not Contact The Court The Same Day You Receive Your Citation. Allow 2 To 3 Business Days From The Violation Date Before Contacting The Court.

  • You may pay for your Citation before the Appear By Date listed on your Citation or come into the Court on the Appear By Date and speak with the Clerk regarding your options, also listed on your Citation.
You may call or come into City Hall to find out if you are eligible for Deferred probation or Driver’s Safety course during business hours on/before your court date.
  • If you do not appear to Court or make a Plea by your Appear By Date you will receive notice for your outstanding Citation via letter and/or postcard. You will have approximately 30 days after receiving the letter or post card to handle the Citation. If the Citation is not taken care of within the 30 days, it will result in a warrant issued and a hold on your Driver’s License. After 60 days, these Citations are sent to Collections with PBFCM for a 30% Collection Fee.
  • If the violator is 16 years old or younger, they must be accompanied by a Birth Parent or Legal Guardian for court.
  • If you are interested in a payment plan you must come into City Hall and sign a payment plan agreement.
