The City of Whitney is seeking applicants for the position of Public Works. Ideal candidates should possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. Candidates must be able to pass a drug test and back ground check.
The job will require on-call work to be performed.
Salary is commensurate with experience.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
EMT - Paramedic
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Render pre-hospital emergency medical care according to established medical protocols.
Drive Mobile Intensive Care Units to emergency scenes, transport accident victims and medical patients to hospitals.
Assist and coordinate with other emergency service agencies in rescue operations, motor vehicle accidents, and other emergency situations.
Perform a variety of emergency medical treatment services at the basic and advanced life support levels.
Employ safe lifting and moving technique.
Maintain ambulance vehicle and equipment.
Participate in public health screening.
Must be able to perform a full range of advanced life support functions.
Handle radio communications during emergency and non-emergency situations.
Perform related duties assigned.
Possession of a Texas Department of State Health Services EMT-Paramedic Certificate OR License and a valid Texas Drivers License.
Each individual must qualify and be re-certified prior to the end of the certification period.
Salary is $18.00/hour
